Microblading

Precare

  • - No waxing or brow tinting 2 weeks before the procedure

  • - No alcohol or caffeine 24 hrs before the procedure

  • - Stop taking aspirin, niacin, vitamin E, fish oil, CoQ10 and ibuprofen 48 hours before the procedure

  • - No Botox treatments should be done 3 weeks prior or 4 weeks after the procedure

  • - No chemical peels 60 days before or after the procedure (brows will peel faster due to chemicals traveling under the skin)

  • - No Retinols/Retin-A or other anti-aging/acne creams, or serums containing acids as these will fade brows prematurely

  • - Avoid working out or sweating heavily the day of the procedure (and for the next 2 weeks after)

  • - Do not tan or have a sunburned face the day of the procedure

Aftercare

  • - Brows will appear darker for the first 2-5 days, and then you may experience peeling, brows fade by day 10 and you will be ready for a touch up in 4-8 weeks.

  • - Avoid touching your brows with your hands unless you have just washed your hands. Freshly done eyebrows are comparable to having several small paper cuts on your eyebrows. Therefore, your brows currently have open skin and by touching with dirty hands you can introduce bacteria into the open tissue and this can put you at a greater risk for infection.

  • - Do not rub brows forcefully, while providing the aftercare. To provide aftercare wipe your brows in the direction of hair growth 3 times using firm pressure with a new clean damp cotton pad for each brow. Gently pat brows dry with a new clean cotton pad, and then apply a rice grain amount size of aftercare balm to each brow.

  • - For the first 24 hours, provide aftercare to brows every hour. Day 2-10 provide aftercare 3 times a day, unless otherwise instructed. Additionally, you should apply aftercare balm throughout the day to ensure brows stay moisturized to avoid flaking or scabbing.
